Farm Trip Anyone

On monday morning Spencer and I headed to the farm with his pre-school class for the last fun outing of the year. What a blast, however I am not a farm girl,I like the city!!! We got to hold baby chicks( well I did Spence would'nt ) and of course it took me quite a while to get up the nerve to hold the dare thing. Then we got to hold kittens, puppies pet sheep goats go for pony ride(but not Spence) do you see a trend here Spencer is not a little farm boy either!!!! However when it was time to milk the goat guess who couldn't wait to touch that? If you guessed me your WRONG!!! We went on the coldest day of the week but I kept saying to everyone it helps keep the smell down. We went for a wagon ride fed the cows ate out in the open air froze my hindy bindy off but had a great time. Now I have just one more farm trip with Janelle in a couple years... But really who doesn't like a trip to the farm?

Course Two

This is my final cake in course two, I am not a flower person but really like the primroses and roses. It was a fun class this time around there was only five of us so we got alot of teacher one on one. It's nice to have some one there correcting any bad habits from forming. I am sad to say that for the summer I will be taking time off so no more cakes or icing in my house for a bit. As a side note in this class we had to make different flowers each week and then put them on our cake in the last class along with learning the basket weave.

I also got to go be the helper for folk dancing in the park with Geg's school. It was so much fun and the kids looked so cute out there. They learn all the dances during music time in school and then over a three day period about 12 schools a day do and do the dances in the park. Our day was today, the boys didn't really like dancing with the girls but over all they had a blast. Yes they even got me out there to dance with them., Since I coach seven little boys from Greg's class at soccer they thought it would be fun to have Coach Gregory's mom out there dancing well they all sat laughing at me. It was super fun and I even knew a couple of dances so I was able to shock the boys. Greg's teacher loved that I was there for the boys so she could help the girls. The only bad part about the day was that the girls washroom ran out of toliet paper super gross I kept telling the girls I was so sorry but what do you do?

Spencer's Graduation

Spencer is my third child to graduate from pre-school. Why is it that we have so many grads before grade twelve one might ask? Well I remember graduating from high school and all the hype that went along with it but really was I this cute in grade 12? I think not, plus the fact that Spencer told us that only those people who loved him were coming to this very special of special days! How could James and I not make a big deal about him leaving his pre-school days beside the fact that we pay for him to go. We should be celebrating now only one left to go, and then on to the next stage of life..........

A little of this and that

So as most of the world knows we are home bodies, don't really go anywhere all summer. My kids favorite holiday to count is the trip out to Magrath Alberta to visit our dear friends who really live here in winnipeg but venture home every summer. Fun for them sad for us. So this year I decided to make the summer more just just another summer we bought ourselves one of those above ground pools. We are now waiting for the dead heat to hit so we can spash adn play in it all summer. I also sign my son up for tackle football yes you read that right. Greg has been dying to play so I went for it this summer. I even had to pay insurance on him incase of ingury. Now really how can an eight year old team get hurt well let me tell you. Greg is a whopping 55 pounds and quite a few of the players weighted in at 95 or higher. That is crazy!!!! My husband is only 127 maybe socking wet.... My poor son has no hope being a big man. He can run fast so all I tell him is when football starts run like the wind then no one will be able to tackle him down.
We also had quite the little laugh we have a mail box that requires a key to get in, well we lost both keys. At first I thought it will show up well no go so I had to get the post office to change the locks and issue us new keys!!!! Just to get the mail!!! That is crazy what happen to the good old days when the mail man came to your house bringing letters of joy? So tonight I get to go get a weeks worht of mail beside that fact that I have to prove who I am and that I do infact live at the stated address. At least I know no one can get my mail right?
Lastly I have been called as the music leader in primary I did this about eight years ago so it is not new to me however if anyone out there has any good tricks that I could use send them my way. I could use a couple new things to make it fun for the kidlets. We are doing the music with sharing time but any suggestions I would love. ttfn

life of a soccer mom

You know when you watch movies and there is the mom with her mini van driving children all over. I have finally entered that part of my life. All I see is schedules that need to be kept. Monday and Wednesdays are my big days with over load with Alina and Greg back to back games. I also get to be the coach for both teams. Now this should not be so bad but I can't get to all of Greg's games on time. I have great helpers on his team so that helps me out a great deal. I don't know the game so well so I have had to read up on the game so I can teach them something. What good is it to play a game if you don't know the right way to play. We have a strong teams and the kids are full of engery. As a side note I have been taking my second course of cake decorating. This course is full of flowers flowers flowers. It is lots of fun and keeps me busy being creative. I know most of you are out there being sport moms of some sort and really running monday to thursday is not so bad. My kids love it so I can do it for them. Happy driving.........

Vole Update

So the voles are still here, but i am happy to report that their numbers are getting much smaller thanks to gohper doom(I think the spelling is wrong). What a great way to die!!! they are suppose to eat this posion and die in their their holes to bad for me i keep finding dead voles all over the back yard screaming as if they were alive and still making the kids run to the front yard to play until James can come and scoop them up and put them in the trash. It is becoming more aware to me that maybe this year I will not be getting a tan until the cruise in Novemeber if my little friends don't leave my house and stay away for ever. My one neighbour now has mice with her voles so I now have to keep my eyes open for that aswell. I hate little critters so much!!!! But they are dying so I should be happy for that right?
