Well our Easter week end has come to an end and routine is back tomorrow. To fill you in on the happenings first I found this great article on how to make Easter more meaningful for your children and it gave day by day ideas of things to do. There was fun food to make an old testament meal, stories of the last week of Christ's life. I truly feel that it helped bring a peaceful environment into my house.Plus i think i got just as much out of it as the kids. So anyone who would like to check it out it was found on sugardoodles.com under the letter e for Easter. then on Thursday night we packed up our kids and headed to Regina for our stake temple trip. They had a goal for us to do 2007 ordinances and we doubled it. Anyway went out with our friends the Courts and watched each other children well the others were at the temple. To make this trip fun we took the kids to the science centre in Regina and it was three floors of interactive exhibits for the kids to touch and learn and most of all have fun. It was so great, I had to pull the kids from area to area so we could see most of it. then after we took them to chuck e cheeses for supper and they ran non stop, the fact that you collect tickets from playing games is a huge hit. We then packed them all back in the vans Friday night and headed home. It was only 2:30 am when we arrived back in Winnipeg, but what a great opportunity to help meet the stake goal attend the temple and make it a fun trip for six children, who traveled and played great.
Next on Saturday afternoon we did our traditional egg hunt with the Courts. It was sad not to have the Taylor family there but we still did it. The kids had a great time. the best part for me was well Angela and I were hiding the eggs a Chinese couple came over and asked Angela what she was doing and why, so they stood guard of the eggs until the kids came looking for them, and then they were so excited that they would point to where they were hiding for the kids. Then they stayed until all the eggs were found. I thought that we should have sent them home with some of the eggs. We then had supper over at the Courts and then came home and put our over tired children to bed. Sunday morning the easter bunny left croc shoes for the girls and a hockey net and goalie stuff for the boys. Greg asked James why he set up the net and not the Easter bunny so I'm not sure how much longer the secret will go on. We then had my whole family over for Easter supper with ice cream cake for dessert as it was Grandma's birthday on Tuesday. Hope you all had a packed filled Easter weekend, I think I'm going need the week to recover. All in All it was worth it.
Sounds like a very full weekend. I am constantly amazed with all the stuff you get done with four kids plus your own day home. You are the woman!
