Wishes of hotter days

How I wish I was some place warm, hot.....in a swim suit on a beach, sweating because it is just to hot....... this is my happy place that I go to and when ever I look at this picture it brings back one of my happiest memories.....I really can't believe that it ever happened and when ice crystals form on your nose hairs with just a breath of the winter air it's hard to believe a place where it is hot even exists.

Another -40 day!!!!!

Here I sit on a tuesday afternoon with much on my mind. The realitor called about some more houses that are on the market but I'm finding myself a little stressed about buying and selling houses. It is -40 outside yet again today so I can't send the kids out for fresh air, so again that stresses me out completely. What do you do with house bond crazy hyper kids? We have made finger jello, cookies crafted til really you just can't craft any more, played everything game and with every toy, yes I think I am going a little mad. Janelle and I decided to make a diorama of the ocean it took us all morning, she is so proud of her handy work, I just had to share her hard work.
Back to my pouting I tried with all might to get this scrapbook kit called Project 365 you take pictures everyday write up a little journal blurb and slip it in, they have everything you need no fuss scrapbooking all in one. I loved the idea and thought this was one thing that I could do for sure. Now I am spending hours trying to come up with my own project 365, if it works I'll post pictures to show you what I've done. Hope you are all wya warmer out there in the world away from winter freeze. At least I have a warm house and blankets to cuddle up in to keep me warm.

The New Kitchen

So today I got my new counters for the kitchen, they came a whole week early!!! I love it I told James it will be hard to leave it behind when we move. I know it a little dark in some of the pictures but you get the idea of how great it looks. Way to fun to do this all, now all we have left to do is the front entrance.

Christmas Eve

As always we had the Gatz clan over for a high party on Christmas eve you would think that with 12 kids running around fights would be on hand but not one they all get along great. This year James and I taught them all a couple of skits and then came up stairs to show the adults they giggled the whole time and Greg ran trough only in his underwear. My kids could not wait for Santa to come and see what he brought them. Yes everyone got just what they wanted it was a small Christmas this year as Santa had a Cruise to pay for and then we are moving to Alberta this summer. Yes this may come a shock to some but it is time for the James and Tricia Northcotts to fly the coupe and try life not in arms length of loved ones. My mom crys alot but I think she understands our need to move on. Christmas day was spent with James family, James sister is getting married so Wes was up to met the family. We all loved him so I think he makes a nice addition to the group. Boxing day we fondued with my parents and every moment that my kids have they are down playing on the wii. For new years James had to MC the church dance so for our last Winnipeg new year living here we were stuck at the church with a bunch of people that I mostly didn't know. The kids brought the new year in at my parents and got to sleep under the Christmas tree for the second time. They were still giggling when we got home!!! Grandma and Grandpa were in bed but it was alate night for us all, we crashed at my moms for the night and then woke up and had waffles, strawberries and whipping cream super yummy.
For new years day we just vegged at home and tried to catch up on some much needed rest. I spent the afternoon trying very hard to get my hands a scrap booking project available starting Jan 1 with no luck! It is called project 365 and they give you everything that you need all you need to do is supply the pictures and do your write up. They are trying to get more up for us poor souls who didn't get it but I guess I will have to wait and see I am however taking my picture a day in hopes that I will be so lucky. take care talk to you soon

Family fun

I have so much to blog to catch everyone up with, first happy New Year to everyone. I'm sure you have all beensuper busy like us during the holiday. First here is a picture of the gingerbread house we built this year the kids worked so hard on it, it is aways a fun family night enjoyed by all.
Second this year we used my christmas present from last year, it was a seigh ride for 20 people, but when I looked at the gift card again we had two weeks to use it so during the deepfreeze when the windchill had us at about -45 we headed for the coldest sliegh ride ever. It was fun I sat at the back and pushed all the kids off and made them run to catch up and then I would push them off again. Everyone stayed for the first run but on the second when we couldn't feel our toes or any part of our bodies James and I got stuck with all the kids. So the only way to keep them happy and not crying about the cold was to make them run. It worked out wonderfully. I think we will do it again, it was a holiday worthy tradition.
