Birthday Girl

Well on sunday my little girl turned six. How crazy it is to think of her so big. She truly is the princess in our house. She is danity and very lady like in all she does. She loves to dance and do crafts. This year she asked only for crafting presents so from a moms point of view yah hoo. She got a tie your own quilt, pottery wheel to make pots, then some clothes and new fashion boots from kid Aldo I fell in love with them and knew she needed a pair. The joy of a girl is dressing them up, and I pride myself in finding super cute clothes. She is a absolute joy and I love doing things with her, playing with her and getting to watch her become the sweet heart that she is. This summer she has learned to swim under water, swim backwards and is getting super good just swimming in the pool. Its fun to see your children take chances and watch them learn and grow from their experinces. She is a great helper around the house and I love her so much, so happy birthday princess thanks for just being who you are!!!

side note: Saturday was Dustin's birthday so we celebrated that too. Happy Birthday Dustin, thanks for being an understanding, caring big brother.

Stampede

So we went to the Morris stampede on saturday to help celebrate Alina's sixth birthday. The weather was great and there were no bugs really around to bug us. Greg got to ride a machanical bull which was the high light for him. We had a great time watching the bull rides, barrel riders. I thought that the clown was the best part. He got even my dad to laugh thoughout the entire show. As a highlight they had the rcmp musical ride, it was too long for my kids but they loved the charge at the end. And really who can end the day with out having some mini dougnuts? so we bought two bags to share yummy yummy!!

Strawberries

At 7am friday morning we woke up the kids, fed them a quick breakfast and headed out the door to go pick strawberries. Now if anyone has lived in manitoba you know that there are a couple things good about manitoba. first we have the prettiest sand beaches all with in about a hour drive from winnipeg. You can walk out for quite a ways in the water before it gets deep and the sand is white. The second thing that is quite a amnitoba thing is strawberry picking. We had beautiful picking this year. They were hugh, and red red red. We went with some friends and I think we had 19 kids there, thank goodness they allowed the kids to eat strwberries. Between Heather and I we pick 11 baskets of berries. The problem with that is that I then needed to do something with them all. So we froze them, ate them, and then I took the rest and made jam. So now my cupboards are lined with beautiful jars of yummy jam.

My CHICKENS

My soocer team don't they look like a great group of eight year old giggly little boys, they were so much fun they called themselves the chickens thanks to Greg and yes we even had a cheer of us all yelling bock bock bock. We had a almost perfect season ruined only by a single win !!!! Yes you read right, we could not get it together no matter what we tried. we would lose by one or two most games. Surprisingly they were never down they gave it their all and we had a blast together. Really I guess that is all that matters, except it was me who came home every game trying to figure out what we could do to get that win, yes it was me who could never sleep at night and yes it was me coming up with the team schedule with who was going to play when. All that and one glorious win, next year we always have next year!!!

The Wedding

At last!!! Doug James' brother got married, now I know most of you hear my complaints about the Northcotts but I just love Doug always have. So we packed up and headed to Regina for the wedding last friday. The weather was hot we traded cars with friends so the gas was cheap and off we went. In the pictures you see the happy couple but then you see James and I got bored so off we went to find intersting places to take pictures. I think Beth mom was ready to leave me there, I just didn't feel the love!!! Anyway James and spent all the picture time taking goofy pictures of who else? but ourselves. We go some good ones of our mouths hanging open blowing kisses at each other and the back of the wedding couple. When we were through with ourselves we went back to the group and took fun pictures of me trying to hold Doug because Beth wouldn't, Doug punching James, but not really I just got it at the right time, me holding James because let face it he doesn't weight as much as Doug. Lately when Doug realized what he did he ran off never to be seen again, not really there was a jack rabbit on the grounds so he thought he could catch it. This is one of those Northcott traits thinking your above the rest LIKE YOU CAN CATCH A RABBIT. SUCKER!!!!! No it was all in fun, so here we are finally with a wedding on James side. Yeah happy day!!! It was fun but like all good things we had to come home back to reality.

THE POOL!!!!

Sorry for all the back posts but here is the pool! After we put it up the kids just kept bugging us to go in so at the end of may on a rainy evening(if you look closely at the water you can see the rain)James couldn't take it anymore and took the kids out back and they all went except Spencer who still won't go in... they lasted a whole minute maybe and then needed hot showers and hot chocolate to warm up. they didn't ask to go in until it got warm out side so I guess it kind of worked. .... Come to think of it James hasn't been back in since then either?

MY JELLY BEAN

Who would have thought that three years could go by so fast, she is an absolute doll most of the time. when she is not throwing a tantrum, beating someone up, or telling me her list of all the people she hates(yes it is true) She can color in the lines, run jump and keep up with the other three and act very grown up in public. She loves Dora and the color purple, she can sing quite a few primary songs and knows most verses to the songs. She LOVES to swim, I can't keep her out of the pool, what more can I say. Our family just wouldn't be the same without her apart of it and we all love her sooo mch. Her birthday was back on the 7th of june but at least I am posting pictures now right?
ps in the top picture is Janelle in her howdy partner hat she kept asking for one isn't she a doll?
