Fun with the Courts

Ward Christmas Party

This year our ward Christmas party was on the 15th of dec. I was asked to do the decorations for it on $0 dollar budget, Just get everyone in the wards decorations and put them up. I think not thats not really how I work so I starting thinking of what I could do with little money that I donated to the church. I was not going to be incharge of everyone's stuff and make sure it didn't get broken or lost. So I found these snowflakes at the dollar store and took fishing wire and strung the ceiling full of snowflakes, I know the picture doesn't do the gym justice but I thought it was a super festive hall. I got lots of good comments on my hard work, I ended up not getting a momnets time to sit the CHair lady had me running my tail off well she rested. Arghhhhh.... but what do you do? Thanks to Angela she seemed to keep me cooled down but let me tell you I slept super well that night and am extremely glad to have it over with. I fought super hard and lost the battle for Santa everyone seemed to have a great time anyway.

Vinyl Lettering

I have been introdued to the world of vinyl lettering, I know that winnipeg is far behind but I love them. This board is from my second batch. I don't like the Northcott I think it is to small but I'm giving it to James parents for Christmas so it doesn't really matter that the lettering is not my favorite right? There is a lady here in winnipeg who now has a machine so no more waiting for the letters in the mail. I found a couple sites with cute saying on them so I'll past them on to Eyrnn for me to do. I love hobbies!!!!

Up on Top

As I was emptying my pictures onto the computer, I found this picture that James must have taken. I thought it was super cute, I love seeing that my kids really do have a good time playing together even when I'm not at home. Just had to share.

The Christmas count down

Here we are at the beginning December and I'm starting to get into the hustle of the season, yesterday my daycare kids left early so I headed to the mall for a new haircut and color( I'll post later) it was CRAZY and everywhere everyone was exclaiming how they don't know what to buy for people. I just sat and relaxed getting my hair shampooed and loved it. Here are the advent calendars my kids and I made for Christmas. I talked to them after Halloween and told them that we could just eat all their candy or use some of it for an advent calendar to help us get ready for Santa. They did such a great job don't you think? We hot glued all the candy on pretty Christmas ribbon and Viola beauty before my eyes. Hope everyone is coping with their Christmas to do list. Tuesday is feed the missionaries, Wednesday is letter boards at the church as well as a cookie exchange, Thursday is my kids Christmas concert and Friday James is taking me to wine and dine without the wine to 529 Wellington( super classy restaurant) Now that we have our own company NO MORE CHRISTMAS PARTIES!!! and I miss them alot so this year I told he was to plan one. He invited a couple from the old DPMG so we'll see if they come. With or without them I am going out in style and I can`t wait. Then on Saturday is our primary party and for my parents for Christmas we are taking out the carpet in the den so she can have hard wood floors instead. That is all my mom wants for Christmas, easy enough I think!! ttfn
