The egg hunt

For the past couple of years we have gotten together with the Court and Taylor family for our annual egg hunt. But for some reason the Taylors moved away to B.C. ( Do they think the weather is better out there, I can't imagine why they ever left the wonder city of Winnipeg.HEHEHE) So without them we still headed out on a rather cold day and let the kids hunt for their eggs. A wonderful time was had, but since we got back to winnipeg so late James and I were super tired and couldn't wait for bed time. Thanks to the Courts for a good time though.

The stake temple trip.

We went with the Court family and had a fantastic time. Well they were doing their sessions we took the kids to the science centre there, It was a blast three floors of things to do and see. It was wonderful to make the trip special for the kids and get to the temple too.

Dying of the eggs 2007

sorry for the late post, but I'll try to keep up with the happening of our family. The kids had a fab time with their eggs

Day Care Update

I have been getting asked how the Daycare is going and let me tell you there are alot of children out ther with no place to go. My house is packed, I have great kids but I now have no room until next summer maybe.... There is a short on care for children or too many moms are out ther working and have no place to put their kids. My problem is that it's not the children's fault that their parents both have to work out the home. Quite different from James and i who are home 24 hours a day. I have weekly themes and that is a hugh hit the parents ask for ideas from me and my kids are a hughly benifiting from my ideas aswell. We learn everything that I can think of abc, how to hold a pencil, stories, poems, science, music, and we are starting to set the back yard. They are all happy here and I'm loving it. I didn't think that I would children who weren't mine, but I do. I love working with them, listening to them develop friends and work together. It is a lot of hard work and my house has taken a beating with is some times hard to take but onward I push. I have a great bunch of kids here and it makes it all worth it.

The things I do........

So for those of you who know me, and those of you who don't I love getting hair cuts. Probably because I use to cut hair and hated doing it, so now I like to watch stylist do my hair and sweat when i come in with my list of demands. Well about a month ago I went to a place called head rush and experienced the worst hair cut to man. She took 1 hour and still didn't finish, I was done and wanted to get out so told it was time to go. Yes I even paid the full price and left (NEVER TO RETURN) I got home and re cut my hair and thought well that will teach me. Well it was getting to the point were I just couldn't stand it anymore so off I went last Saturday for an other cut. I went to St. Vital unisex right in the mall. I got a new guy who is pretty fresh out o9f school, held my breath and said show me what you got. He did amazing and even styled my hair great. I am now a fan of flat irons, and can wait to get a professional one to add to my collection. The only thing that I can say is some people can just cut hair and some just can't. I think that I'm one of the people who just can't do it anymore. I still love to look at people and critique their hair. I think I will be doing that for the rest of my life. So along with that i will continue to go out and find good hair dressers and bad. We are creatures of habit, at least I am.

Easter Weekend.

Well our Easter week end has come to an end and routine is back tomorrow. To fill you in on the happenings first I found this great article on how to make Easter more meaningful for your children and it gave day by day ideas of things to do. There was fun food to make an old testament meal, stories of the last week of Christ's life. I truly feel that it helped bring a peaceful environment into my house.Plus i think i got just as much out of it as the kids. So anyone who would like to check it out it was found on sugardoodles.com under the letter e for Easter. then on Thursday night we packed up our kids and headed to Regina for our stake temple trip. They had a goal for us to do 2007 ordinances and we doubled it. Anyway went out with our friends the Courts and watched each other children well the others were at the temple. To make this trip fun we took the kids to the science centre in Regina and it was three floors of interactive exhibits for the kids to touch and learn and most of all have fun. It was so great, I had to pull the kids from area to area so we could see most of it. then after we took them to chuck e cheeses for supper and they ran non stop, the fact that you collect tickets from playing games is a huge hit. We then packed them all back in the vans Friday night and headed home. It was only 2:30 am when we arrived back in Winnipeg, but what a great opportunity to help meet the stake goal attend the temple and make it a fun trip for six children, who traveled and played great.
Next on Saturday afternoon we did our traditional egg hunt with the Courts. It was sad not to have the Taylor family there but we still did it. The kids had a great time. the best part for me was well Angela and I were hiding the eggs a Chinese couple came over and asked Angela what she was doing and why, so they stood guard of the eggs until the kids came looking for them, and then they were so excited that they would point to where they were hiding for the kids. Then they stayed until all the eggs were found. I thought that we should have sent them home with some of the eggs. We then had supper over at the Courts and then came home and put our over tired children to bed. Sunday morning the easter bunny left croc shoes for the girls and a hockey net and goalie stuff for the boys. Greg asked James why he set up the net and not the Easter bunny so I'm not sure how much longer the secret will go on. We then had my whole family over for Easter supper with ice cream cake for dessert as it was Grandma's birthday on Tuesday. Hope you all had a packed filled Easter weekend, I think I'm going need the week to recover. All in All it was worth it.

Spring Break

what break , now that my kids are back in school I finally have a half break, My day care was open all week and the only day i had off was friday afternoon. The weather wasn't that great either, we had fog in the morning and rain or snow on and off the entire week. So we didn't get the trampoline up and the kids were sad. We made lots of crafts and built forts and watched power rangers because that what hte kids like to do oh well another week down and now back to routine.
